December 1st - Pick up Mom and head to the Tangle Creek Golf and Country Club near Barrie, to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary.  What a party!  Two cousins (plus spouses) missing the celebrations....sister Jan in New Brunswick and Jim (Ontario), who was in Florida golfing.

The happy couple with the wedding singer
Sisters - Betty, Donna and Shirley
Cousin Brenda and Lyall
Look at the anniversary present they bought themselves!
December 3rd - Everyone wanted a piece of Kerry and Clarence on their flying visit, so we had to share.  Bob and I got them overnight before their flight on the 4th.

Peeking over the kitchen counter....trying to see what I'm
making for dinner
After dinner we took them on a flying tour of Toronto

Many Ontarians don't know about Casa Loma so we
were surprised to learn that this is the home of Clarence's
regiment and his photo is probably in there somewhere.  Private
function happening so we couldn't get in so we peeked in the
windows

Kerry and Clarence's farm in Whitewood, Saskatchewan is
pretty much a wildlife centre, and now we know why!  Hard
to believe she was able to "land" this lovely cardinal in our back yard.
We loved our second visit in a year with these wonderful people
and hope it's not another 15 years until we see them again!
December 5th - We enjoy our Christmas present to each other; a Leonard Cohen concert...our first.  Wow!!!

Amazing guitar solo by one of his group

Introducing and honouring his entire crew, musicians, and
singers..by name, not once during the performance, but three times.
What a beautiful man.
December 9th - Habkirk Christmas celebration at Aunt Dorothy's retirement residence in Burlington.  Small group this year, due to conflicting celebrations and illness.

December 16th - We celebrate Sean's 10th birthday with a party followed by almost all of us showing up for Sean's hockey game.  He's playing rep now...yeah Sean!!

Little Grandma stood up to a full day of events and loved
her first hockey game in 4 years.  Rock on Little Grandma!!

December 22nd - Robson Christmas celebration at Valley Vista
The Matriarch - loving having her family around
her and missing Jan and Elliot (New Brunswick),
Craig and Mary (on a Caribbean cruise), Rachel and Peter (in Victoria) and
Sidney in Vancouver.  We all missed them!

December 24th - Good friends Linda and Yves make the drive from Ottawa to spend Christmas with us.  We hadn't seen them in over a year, so we were delighted when they said they would come until Boxing Day.  Great fun!

A passerby took this great pic on Yonge Street
Linda and me.  Mom joined us for Christmas dinner.  It was
all Bob and I could do to prevent Yves and Linda from
taking Mom home with them.
Silly geese!!!  Bob and Yves

Linda fell in love with this beautiful mosaic on Yonge
Street.  We met and  became friends at
stained glass classes 10 years ago.  She's a talented artist....
and can care for your teeth as well!

What a wonderful month of celebrations!  We loved our time with friends and family and it's not over yet.  We miss those who couldn't be with us and wish everyone a safe, healthy and joyous 2013.  We love you!!!

And somewhere in there, this beauty dropped into the
tree outside our dining room window and shared his
lunch with us.  Life is good!!!
