On Thursday, Feb 24th, I took Bob to our favourite restaurant (The Explorers) in Midland for a Tapas and Tastings dinner. The theme was New Zealand and the five courses paired with beautiful wines was spectacular. This was our third event and equally as successful as the Ontario themed dinner and the Argentine dinner. The proprietors, Rob and Jen, have lived and been guides all over the planet and the information they share about the countries they feature is interesting and enlightening.
I decided to book us at 1875 Charters Inn Bed and Breakfast, a five minute wobble from the restaurant and selected "The Captain's Quarters" suite as a special treat. The owner Gerry, is a gourmet chef and breakfast yesterday morning was unbelievable. We shared the dining table with a young doctor and his wife from Holland. They had just returned from an overnight dog sledding expedition in Algonquin Park and had wonderful stories to share with us.

Before leaving for home, we visited the staff at the marina in Penetang and tried to find our boat among all the shrouded giants. No TULAW to be seen anywhere however we did find Hectic Day and Hurdles End among the bazillions in the parking lot.
