'LONDON CALLING!!' - Shanelle Graduates!!!

We are thrilled that our eldest grandchild Shanelle, has completed a two year college program, Visual Merchandising Arts, in Oakville and is ready to meet the working world full on!  The final effort for the class was to raise money, find a venue, agree on a theme and decorate the place.  One of Shanelle's fundraising events was to swallow a live goldfish (she must be genetically linked to Bob somehow), and she did it!  Bless her soul.  They managed to raise $12,000 for this final blast of creative energy and what a wonderful job they did!  The theme was 'London Calling' and the venue at Adelaide Street East in Toronto was decked out perfectly, from the British Airways logo's at the door, the doormen (aka security) dressed as airline crew, the bar (Shanelle's creation) design and all decorations, created a very British atmosphere.  Our girl won Third Prize with her miniature model of a display booth (see photo's below) and was thrilled that the prize brought her an influx of well-needed cash.

Our girl clutching her well-deserved prize money!

Great save and with flair!

Middle grandson Ben (age 8), wearing #10 and kickin' butt!

Youngest grandson Matthew (age 6) wearing #7

Sadness in our neighbours yard....a beautiful old tree, over 60 feet tall, was diseased and needed to come down before it fell down.  These people deserve every dollar they earn!  The only good bit is that our neighbour invited Bob to come and get some exercise and take home as much wood as he wanted.  Great exercise too!
